Helping people across Wales take charge of their environment.

Tidy Towns is a community initiative funded by Welsh Government and run by Keep Wales Tidy.

It’s mission? To help people take charge of their environment to help maintain and improve it in whichever way suits them!

Wherever you are in Wales, there’s a Keep Wales Tidy Project Officer working in your area, someone who wants to help tackle all kinds of environmental projects such as clean-ups, planting, food-growing and transforming areas for everyone to enjoy.Trefi Taclus

Don’t just take it from us, we work with thousands of people across Wales through our Tidy Towns programme:

“We’re new to this, so with the support of Keep Wales Tidy, we’re able to go out and help improve the area we live in. We’ve even noticed a reduction in antisocial behaviour since we started so our community feels safer and a nicer place to live.”

June White, volunteer in Blaenau Gwent

“It brings groups together to share knowledge and experience, and encourages people to participate in projects that improve the environment for everyone.”

Joy Powell, Merthyr Tydfil College

“Tidy Towns has provided an opportunity for young people and people who are excluded from society to take part in a meaningful activity, see the results and feel a sense of achievement.”

Rowan Hodgkinson, Digartref Ynys Mon
