You can now borrow litter picking equipment for free from your local litter picking hub! Visit our hub map to find your nearest one and along with contact details to book.

The equipment stored at these locations includes litter pickers, hoops, hi-vis vests and bin bags. The kit also contains all necessary health and safety guidance. Before loaning any equipment, you must complete a Litter Picking Loan Agreement and a Risk Assessment provided by your local Hub and further guidance documents available here.

If you’d like to purchase your own equipment, please visit our online shop where you will find products from our partners Helping Hand. A percentage of every sale will be donated by Helping Hand to support our work in communities across Wales.

Wilko, a headline sponsor of the Great British Spring Clean, is stocking a range of litter-pickers, high-vis vests, hand sanitiser and gloves in store to help people get prepared for the country’s biggest ever clean-up.

Disposing of and recycling your litter

We’re working in partnership with councils to safely dispose of – and recycle – the litter we collect.

Using the ‘three bags full’ approach, we’re asking Spring Clean Cymru volunteers to separate plastic, aluminium and general waste.
