Following the success of last year’s All Wales Beach Clean, we want to show how Wales is stepping up against global challenge of marine litter.
As most of the litter found in our waterways eventually makes its way into our oceans, this issue isn’t just relevant to coastal areas. We want to stop the problem at its source and keep our beaches and waterways clean so that wildlife can thrive, and we can all make the most of our beautiful environment.
Join us for Marine Clean Cymru between 20 September and 20 October 2019
Once again, we are launching the campaign to coincide with the Marine Conservation Society’s annual Great British Beach Clean (20-23 September) the UK’s largest national beach cleaning and litter survey programme. Litter data collected and submitted will be used to identify the specific problems our Welsh seas and coasts are facing and enable us to take collective action to improve our marine environment.
Marine Clean Cymru wouldn’t be possible without the support of McDonald’s restaurants across Wales. Marine Clean Cymru received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government
