Litter Champions

We’ve had incredible support for our work throughout the pandemic. From the start of lockdown, budding volunteers from across the country have been getting in touch to find out how to help look after their local area.

Unfortunately, with litter picking hubs closed, it’s been tricky to get hold of the right equipment.

That’s why we were so excited to recruit more Litter Champions in February, as part of our new Caru Cymru programme.

We were completely blown away by the response – in just ten days, we had more than 750 applications!

There were only a limited number of kits available so we know that there will be lots of people who missed out. If you weren’t successful this time around, please stay tuned. We’re hoping to have more kits available soon…

A quick thank you to our partners

This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.

We’d also like to thank our friends at Helping Hand Environmental for making this possible.
