Community group insurance

We’re giving volunteers across Wales peace of mind with our Community Group Insurance Scheme.

We know that getting the right insurance cover can be expensive, so we’ve worked hard to make our scheme as affordable as possible.

The basic insurance cover is free to community groups formed and constituted in the last 12 months from commencement until the annual renewal date.

For groups who have been in existence for longer than 12 months, the price starts at £73.65* for the cost of your personal accident and liability insurance cover.

Similar insurance schemes from other providers cost a lot more and we’d rather your precious resources went towards improving your local environment.

If you’re looking for cover when you’re using chainsaws or other power tools, then you’ll be asked to pay an additional cost.

We always promote best practice and encourage all community groups to take out their own personal accident and public liability insurance so that you’re fully covered when working independently.

For more information, just e-mail [email protected] or call 02920 256767.

The scheme is underwritten by Ansvar Insurance and is available to voluntary and community groups working with Keep Wales Tidy.

* Based on groups doing up to 4 hours activity per week. There are options of cover for groups doing more than 4 hours a week; please call for more information.
