Community Project Officer - Merthyr Tydfil Location Home based Hours of Work 35 hours per week Salary £25,659 Tenure Permanent, covering the county of Merthyr Tydfil Keep Wales Tidy reaches into the heart of communities throughout Wales. We are a registered charity with a team of 57 committed and passionate people and we deliver programmes which are specifically tailored to support the people of Wales and improve the quality and sustainability of the environment in which we live and work. The Officer will act as the Keep Wales Tidy point of contact for the county. We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative team member, who will engage the local community and facilitate, empower and support volunteers, and other partners, to undertake a variety of activities to improve Local Environmental Quality (LEQ) and access to nature. The Officer will work closely with the local authority to deliver the Caru Cymru project and with local communities to create new local places for nature. The role will be flexible, with priorities changing depending on current funding sources and national priorities. The post is part-funded through the Welsh Government Rural Communities -Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union.
