Air pollutants can come from a range of sources and can accumulate to toxic levels which can impact severely on our quality of life and our health. In some areas of Wales and the UK, air pollution has far exceeded what is considered to be ‘safe’ limits. It is now estimated that Air pollution contributes to 2,000 deaths in Wales each year – 6% of all deaths.

To address this issue we need to work collaboratively across all sectors and areas of government to reduce, not only the sources of air pollution, but to make positive and sustainable changes to how we live, work and travel.
