Keep Wales Tidy is helping to set the standard for tourism in Wales with Green Key – the largest, global, environmental accreditation awarded to thousands of tourism providers in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Green Key allows Welsh businesses to celebrate the positive environmental changes they are making and market themselves to an audience that is more and more aware of their environmental responsibilities.

Keep Wales Tidy has recently appointed Nick Ashby as the new Green Key Coordinator to help support Welsh business to become more sustainable. Nick has worked in the hotel industry in Cardiff for the last 15 years and will use his knowledge of the hospitality industry to guide applicants through the programme step by step.

Nick says;

Tourism and hospitality is such an important industry in Wales and I’m passionate about supporting it. Protecting the environment is close to my heart and I look forward to working together with businesses to create a sustainable future for tourism in Wales.

Businesses throughout the sector can apply for Green Key; this includes B&Bs, hotels, self-catering accommodations, camping sites, conference centres, restaurants and attractions
