LEAMS training Local authorities are required by law to keep their land clean. Each year, all local authorities in Wales, along with Keep Wales Tidy need to carry out street cleanliness surveys. All surveys follow the same method, and the data is used to calculate Wales’ Performance Indicator for Streetscene, which is used to measure how local authorities are doing in fulfilling their legal duties. Keep Wales Tidy offers training on this survey. This can be delivered in English or Welsh and is suitable to anybody who is involved in or has an interest in street cleansing. The training provides a step-by-step guide to the survey and all the information you’ll need to get the most out of it, using a variety of techniques, including: Engaging classroom sessions Practical outdoor survey exercises Interactive elements Group work We’ll provide you with paper and electronic data collection materials which you can use as you put the training into practice. We also offer a complimentary follow-up service should you have any questions or need extra support following the session. The comprehensive, half day training can be arranged at a date of your choice and can be held at your base, regionally or at our Cardiff office. Those who have recently received this training include managers, supervisors, office staff, cleansing staff and private contractors.
