Andrew has recently retired from the Canal & River Trust where he was Head of Wales, leading discussions with Welsh Government and other national bodies in Wales.

Beginning as a volunteer over 40 years ago, his career in waterways has taken him to three of our four nations in a range of operational, fundraising and public affairs roles.  Increasingly his work has employed existing social, cultural and physical capital to help people improve their communities economically and environmentally.  Originally trained as a naval architect in Newcastle, he later completed an MBA in Bristol and later a Diploma in Marketing.

This year saw him qualify as a Green Flag and Blue Flag judge volunteering for Keep Wales Tidy.
